Most people come to Flores just to see the Komodo dragons, stay in Labuan Bajo and call it a day but if you really want to experience Flores in the most authentic way possible, you will have to explore Flores island to understand why Flores is one of the most exciting destinations in Indonesia.
Komodo national park is one of the famous place in the world. Ancient animal giant Komodo the only one that still exists in the world is in this place. Not only Komodo dragons, but there are many famous places around Komodo such as Padar island, pink beach, best sunset here, and This is also a great location for you to snorkel.
Labuanbajo is a small town very close to Komodo national park. Before exploring Komodo, labuanbajo was the first place we visited. There is departure point for visiting Komodo.
Other popular activities on offer in Labuan Bajo include visiting local waterfalls and exploring the Rangko open-air sea cave—popular for snorkeling, swimming, and cycling or walking around the city another great way to spend a day, before hunting for sunsets and enjoying a wide variety of fresh seafood.
Ruteng is the capital of the manggarai district. Around the city of ruteng is gighly
recommended for adventure ,hiking, walking. The famous places of this district are waerebo village, spider’s web’ rice fields, todo village, and many others place to visit. This city also provides opportunities for learning about early history and ‘Homo Floresiensis’
